Collection: Gustav Klimt
Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was a Austrian painter known for being a prominent symbolist and secession artist. Gustav Klimt was highly influenced by Japanese art technique which he included styles and techniques into his own work. Klimt’s style evolved over time and although not often credited as being an Art Nouveau painter, one can easily see how his work may have been an inspiration for that movement due to the grandeur backgrounds he created and his focus on the beauty of the female form.
